Broiled Citrus Glazed Salmon

The right amount of sweet and zesty.
Ingredients:
2 lb salmon fillet |
3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice |
1/3 cup dark brown sugar |
2 tablespoons lemon zest |
2 teaspoons kosher salt |
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper |
Directions:
- Position oven rack to the top near the broiler. Line a baking sheet pan with aluminum foil and place the salmon on the pan. Brush lemon juice over salmon.
- Combine brown sugar, lemon zest, salt and pepper in a mixing bowl. Stir together until well combined. Evenly spread the mixture onto the salmon and allow to sit for 45 minutes.
- Turn the oven on to the high broiler setting for 2 minutes. Place the salmon into the oven and broil for 8 minutes. Remove the salmon from the oven and allow to rest, uncovered, for 10 minutes. Serve immediately.
