Classic Homemade Chili

Ingredients:

+ Add All Ingredients to Shopping List
1 lb ground beef+ Add to Shopping List
1 yellow onion, chopped+ Add to Shopping List
1 red bell pepper, finely chopped+ Add to Shopping List
1 can diced tomatoes, 28 oz.+ Add to Shopping List
1 can tomato sauce, 29 oz.+ Add to Shopping List
1 can kidney beans, 27 oz.+ Add to Shopping List
1 can black beans, 15 oz.+ Add to Shopping List
2 tablespoons chili powder+ Add to Shopping List
1 1/2 tablespoons cayenne pepper+ Add to Shopping List
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon+ Add to Shopping List

Directions:

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef with chopped yellow onion and bell pepper over medium heat.
  2. Stir in diced tomatoes and tomato sauce.
  3. Add the kidney and black beans, chili powder, cayenne pepper and cinnamon. Stir well.
  4. Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Spoon chili into serving bowls while hot and enjoy!
