Apple Cider French Toast

Rise and shine to the perfect Fall breakfast.

Ingredients:

1 tablespoon butter, more for serving
1/2 cup apple cider
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
6 slices Texas Toast
Maple syrup, for topping

Directions:

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Melt butter in the skillet.
  2. Whisk together the apple cider, cinnamon, sugar, vanilla extract and eggs in a mixing bowl.
  3. Dip the Texas Toast into the batter, coating evenly. Shake off excess back into bowl. Repeat with remaining slices of Texas Toast
  4. Place the bread in the skillet and cook until golden brown on each side. Repeat with remaining slices of Texas Toast
  5. Serve with butter and maple syrup.
