Steak Stir-Fry with Extra Veggies

Sweet, tangy savory and healthy!

Ingredients:

1 lb sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
2 tablespoon canola oil
1/2 lb asparagus, ends trimmed, sliced
2 carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
6 oz snow peas
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoon sesame seeds
Stir fry sauce
Cooked rice, for serving

Directions:

  1. Bring a large skillet or wok to high heat. Add 1 tablespoon canola oil wait until it shimmers, then add the steak. Sprinkle the salt and pepper over the steak. Cook and stir for about 4 minutes. Transfer the steak to a plate.
  2. Add the second tablespoon of canola oil to the skillet or wok and allow to shimmer. Add the asparagus and carrots, cook and stir for 3 minutes. Add the snow peas and the bell peppers, cook and stir for 3 minutes. Add the garlic to the skillet, toss together with the other vegetables and cook 1 minute.
  3. Place the steak back into the skillet or wok. Pour the stir fry sauce over top and stir together. Cook for 3 minutes, stirring often.
  4. Remove from the heat. Stir in the sesame seeds. Spoon the cooked onto serving plates and top with the steak and vegetables. Enjoy!
