Ground Orange Chicken

Fast, easy and delicious.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons avocado oil
1 lb ground chicken
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black ground pepper
3/4 cup orange juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/3 cup coconut aminos
1 tablespoon arrowroot
1/3 cup date paste
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Steamed rice, for serving

Directions:

  1. Drizzle the avocado oil in a large saucepan. Bring to medium heat. Add the ground chicken. Season with salt and pepper. Cook and stir until browned.
  2. Whisk together the orange juice, garlic, coconut aminos, arrowroot, date paste and crushed red pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Pour the sauce into the pan. Cook and stir for 5 minutes.
  4. Spoon the steamed rice on to serving plates. Top with the ground orange chicken. Enoy!
