Banana Bread Brownies





Serves 12 |
Two sweet confections in one awesome treat.
Ingredients:
2 eggs |
1 cup sour cream |
1 stick unsalted butter |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
3 bananas, mashed |
2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/2 cup chopped walnuts |
For the Frosting |
1 stick unsalted butter |
3 cups powdered sugar |
3 tablespoons milk |
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract |
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375° F. Grease a large baking pan with baking spray.
- Crack the eggs into a mixing bowl. Add the sour cream, butter and sugar to the bowl. Use a hand mixer to beat until well combined. Then, add the mashed bananas and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to the bowl. Mix to combine. Add the chopped walnuts and mix together.
- Pour the banana batter into the baking pan. Place into the oven to bake for 20-30 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to rest.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat, allowing to brown. Turn the heat off and add 1 cup powdered sugar. Stir until combined and then add another cup, repeat one more time. Then add the milk and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
- Pour the frosting over the brownies in the pan. Spread with a spatula.
- Once fully cooled, cut into 12 squares and enjoy!
