Rosemary Orange Roasted Turkey

Dinnertime has never tasted so good!
Ingredients:
1 whole turkey, 13 lb. |
1 teaspoon instant bouillon powder |
Salt, to taste |
Ground black pepper, to taste |
2 yellow onions, quartered |
1 orange, zested then sliced |
Fresh rosemary sprigs |
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley |
1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary |
1 tablespoon garlic powder |
2 teaspoons onion powder |
1/2 cup olive oil |
8 tablespoons orange juice |
2 cups bone broth |
2 heads garlic, peeled and sliced |
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350° F.
- Place the turkey, breast-side up, into a large roasting pan. Season inside the cavity with instant bouillon, salt, and pepper. Place half of the onion, half of the orange slices, and several rosemary sprigs in the cavity.
- Stir together the orange zest, chopped herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, olive oil, half of the orange juice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub the mixture all over the turkey and under the skin.
- Pour the broth and remaining orange juice into the roasting pan. Add the garlic, onion, orange slices, and a few rosemary sprigs to the pan.
- Place the turkey into the oven and roast for about 3 hours.
- Transfer the roasted turkey to a serving platter and cover with foil. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
