Superior Recipe Challenge Official Rules

 

Please read these Official Rules carefully before participating in the Superior Recipe Challenge (the “Contest”). By entering the Contest, participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and all decisions of Superior Grocers, which shall be final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest.

Contest Period

The Superior Recipe Challenge will run from June 22, 2026 through August 3, 2026. All entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) on August 3, 2026 in order to be eligible.

 

Eligibility

The Contest is open only to legal residents of California and Nevada who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of entry.

 

How to Enter

To submit a valid entry, participants must complete all of the following requirements:

  1. Create original recipe video content featuring a unique recipe. The video should clearly highlight the completed dish and may include preparation steps.
  2. Publish the video on Instagram or TikTok.
  3. Tag @SuperiorGrocers within the post.
  4. For Instagram entries, add @SuperiorGrocers as a collaborator on the post.
  5. Clearly identify both the category and subcategory in the post caption.
  6. Include the hashtags #SuperiorGrocers and #SuperiorRecipeChallenge.
  7. Maintain a public account and keep the post visible throughout the Contest Period.

Participants may use their own wording when identifying categories and subcategories, provided the selected category and subcategory are clearly stated.

Example: “My entry is for Comfort Foods (Cheese Dishes).”

 

Categories and Subcategories

Each entry must be submitted under one (1) category and one (1) subcategory.

Meals

  • Meat & Main Dishes
  • Healthy Meals

Quick & Easy

  • Quick & Easy (Under 20 Minutes)
  • $20 Meal Challenge

Comfort Foods

  • Cheese Dishes
  • Hot Foods Remix

Sweets & Drinks

  • Desserts
  • Drinks & Beverages

Each submission may only be entered into one category and one subcategory. Participants may submit entries across multiple categories provided each submission contains a different recipe and original video. The same recipe video may not be submitted to more than one category or subcategory. Failure to clearly identify both the category and subcategory may result in disqualification.

 

Entry Rules

Participants may submit multiple entries. Each qualifying video post will be considered a separate entry.

Each entry must feature original content and a different recipe created by the participant. Entries containing duplicated content, reused recipe videos, stolen content, copied content, or reposted content from another creator are not permitted and may be disqualified.

Participants may enter multiple categories and subcategories only if each submission contains a different recipe and original video. Only videos published during the Contest Period will be eligible for judging.

Entries that fail to comply with these Official Rules may be disqualified at Superior Grocers’ sole discretion.

 

Judging and Prizes

Eight (8) Category Winners will each receive a $100 Superior Grocers Gift Card.

All Category Winners will advance to compete for the Grand Prize.

One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a $500 Superior Grocers Gift Card.

Entries will be evaluated based upon creativity and originality, visual presentation, overall quality and appeal, and clarity of the recipe concept.

 

Winner Notification

Winners will be announced on August 6, 2026 through the Superior Grocers Instagram Story.

Potential winners will also be contacted through direct message on the social media platform used for entry.

 

Use of Submitted Content

By entering the Contest, participants grant Superior Grocers the right to use, repost, publish, distribute, display, and share submitted video content for promotional, advertising, marketing, and business purposes without additional compensation.

 

Verification and Disqualification

Superior Grocers reserves the right to verify participant eligibility and the validity of any entry.

Superior Grocers may disqualify any entry that fails to comply with these Official Rules, contains false or misleading information, infringes the rights of another party, or otherwise undermines the integrity of the Contest.

 

General Conditions

Superior Grocers reserves the right to cancel, suspend, modify, or terminate the Contest if technical failures, fraud, or other causes beyond its reasonable control interfere with the proper administration of the Contest.

By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Superior Grocers and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from participation in the Contest or acceptance and use of any prize.
