Homestyle Meat Loaf

Home cooking at its finest.

Ingredients:

1 slice white bread, torn into small pieces
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
3 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 lb ground round
1/3 cup ketchup

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. In a large bowl, combine bread, onion, bell pepper, parsley, garlic, egg, salt and black pepper. Mix ingredients together well.
  3. Crumble ground round over bread mixture and combine until blended.
  4. Coat a large loaf pan with cooking spray then pat meat mixture into pan. Spread ketchup over top. Place in oven and bake for 1 hour.
  5. Allow meat loaf to stand in pan for 10 minutes before removing and cutting into 6 slices.
