The perfect steak for special occasions.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bottle dark beer
2 ribeye steaks
Olive oil, for brushing steaks
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon butter
1 onion, sliced
1 cup mushrooms, quartered

Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, garlic and beer. Place steaks in a resealable plastic bag and add marinade. Place in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours.
  2. Preheat the grill to medium heat.
  3. Remove steaks from the refrigerator and bag, set aside and let rest for 5-10 minutes. Remove steaks from plastic bag and dry steaks off with paper towels. Brush steaks with oil and season with salt and pepper. Place the steaks on the grill. Cook for 5 minutes per side for medium rare. Once cooked let steaks rest for 10 minutes.
