Crispy Chicken Caesar Sandwich





Serves 4 |
The perfect balance of flavor and crunch.
Ingredients:
2 chicken breasts, boneless, skinless |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon black pepper |
1 cup flour |
2 large eggs |
1 cup panko breadcrumbs |
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese |
Vegetable oil, for frying |
1/3 cup Caesar dressing |
4 sandwich buns, toasted |
1 cup shredded romaine lettuce |
1 tomato, sliced |
Directions:
- Slice chicken breasts in half horizontally to create 4 thin cutlets. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Pour the flour into one bowl. Beat the eggs in a second bowl. Combine the panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese in a third bowl.
- Dredge each chicken cutlet in flour, then dip in egg, then coat with the panko-Parmesan mixture.
- Pour about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil into a large skillet. Bring to medium-high heat. Place the breaded chicken in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain.
- Spread the Caesar dressing across the bottom buns. Layer the lettuce, tomato slices, and a crispy chicken cutlet on the bun. Place the top bun on the chicken and enjoy.
