Sausage Egg Bake

Breakfast has never tasted so good!

Ingredients:

1 lb ground pork sausage
1 cup chopped yellow onion
8 cups stuffing mix
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
12 eggs
4 cups milk
2 teaspoons ground dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons seasoned salt

Directions:

  1. Place the ground sausage and yellow onion in a large skillet. Bring to medium-high heat and cook until evenly browned. Drain liquid.
  2. Lightly coat the inside of a medium baking dish with cooking spray. Pour the stuffing mix into the baking dish and spread out evenly. Spoon the sausage mixture over the stuffing mix and top with the shredded cheddar.
  3. Combine the eggs, milk, dry mustard, black pepper and seasoned salt in a mixing bowl. Whisk together until combined. Pour the egg mixture over the sausage stuffing mixture. Cover the baking dish and transfer to the refrigerator to chill for 8 hours or overnight.
  4. Remove the baking dish from the refrigerator 30 minutes before ready to bake.
  5. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  6. Place into the oven and bake for 60 minutes. Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
