Buffalo Honey Hot Wings

Serves 24 wings | 
Hot, sweet and utterly delicious!

Ingredients:

24 chicken wings
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons smoked paprika
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground celery seed
2 tablespoons baking powder
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup honey
1 tablespoons molasses
3 tablespoons hot wing sauce
2 teaspoons cornstarch

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F. Line baking sheet with aluminum foil and grease with non-stick cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. Place half of the chicken wings into a sealable container. Pour the brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder, cumin, celery seed and baking powder into a mixing bowl. Stir together until combined.
  3. Pour half of the seasoning mixture into the chicken wing container. Close the lid on the wing container and toss to coat. Arrange the seasoned wings on the baking sheet and repeat the process with the remaining wings and seasoning mix.
  4. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 50 minutes. Flipping after 25 minutes.
  5. While the wings are baking, melt butter over medium heat in a saucepan. Add the honey, molasses, hot wing sauce and cornstarch to the pan, stir together and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Reduce heat to low and let simmer for 5 minutes.
  6. Place the wings in a large mixing bowl. Pour the honey hot sauce over the wings. Toss wings to coat evenly in the sauce. Transfer wings to a platter and enjoy!
