Serves 8 |
The perfect party dip of March Madness.

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons butter, (unsalted)
2 onions, (peeled, sliced thin)
Ground black pepper, (to taste)
8 oz. cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons chives, (fresh, chopped)
Potato chips, (your preference, for serving)
Kosher salt, (to taste)

Directions:

  1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
  2. Add the onions and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are deep golden brown in color, 30 to 35 minutes. Remove onions from heat and let cool.
  3. Transfer onions to a medium-sized bowl. Add cream cheese, sour cream and chives; season to taste with salt and pepper.
  4. Stir ingredients until well mixed. Serve dip immediately with potato chips.
